In 2024, David and Jeanne Aurelius celebrate 48 years of welcoming customers, who return time and again, in search of a unique piece of Clay Bay Pottery to cherish and enjoy.

Jeanne’s work reflects her devotion to and delight in the nature surrounding their rural shop and studio. In a nice balance to Jeanne’s representational work, David works more in abstract forms, creating hand-built vases, serving platters and bowls, and decorative vessels and tiles.
The Potter’s Story
Jeanne and David have been creating pottery at their Clay Bay Pottery studio located in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin for 48 years. Learn more about their journey of becoming professional artists and impactful community members in Door County.
